BhorTensor®
Pultruded Glass Fiber Rods
BhorTensor® rods are advanced high-performance composite materials, specifically engineered to deliver superior tensile modulus and tensile strength for structural reinforcement applications. These pultruded Glass Fiber/Epoxy composite profiles are designed for the strengthening and retrofitting of existing concrete structures. The rods are bonded to substrates using high-strength epoxy adhesives to ensure optimal adhesion and durability. The BhorTensor® series comprises pre-cured pultruded Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) profiles, meticulously developed to meet the most stringent requirements for repair, rehabilitation, and structural enhancement. These profiles are fabricated through the pultrusion process, which combines high-tensile glass fibers and a thermoset epoxy resin matrix, resulting in a composite with exceptional mechanical properties, including high strength, stiffness, and fatigue resistance. BhorTensor® GFRP rods are primarily utilized for the reinforcement of concrete, masonry, and timber structures, leveraging the Near-Surface Mounted (NSM) technique. The rods are embedded into pre-cut grooves within the substrate and securely bonded using a high-performance epoxy resin, which facilitates superior load transfer and structural integrity
